En Equilibre: A Documentary

En Equilibre, located at 140 Boulevard Gréber in Gatineau, QC is the only only indoor skatepark for the Ottawa/Gatineau skaters to hone their skills over the harsh Canadian winters. The park opened in 2001, but it’s existence has recently been threatened due to little money flow. The warehouse space was supposed to be bought out, however the deal fell through on both occasions. As it stands for now, the skatepark will remain until the 2-year lease is up.

This is an older one I’ve been sitting on since last summer. Will came down for a little bit to compile some photos to sit on over the winter months. The window sill was lifted from the frame, and was  shitty soft metal. I grabbed the hammer from my toolbox and we nailed the “coping” back in. 15 minutes later the cops rolled up saying they got a call about a bunch of skateboarders breaking windows. We told them there was no hammer in any of our cars, which quickly backfired after they found it in the toolbox. After a lecture on telling the truth the first time, Will got back to skating this ollie up to ledge and copped this beastly back smith.
